Andrew McMahon Cancels Dates on Fun. Tour [UNRELATED TO HIS HEALTH]

The ex-Jack’s Mannequin and Something Corporate vocalist put his fan’s hearts and minds at ease with his recent entry on andrewmcmahon.com though the cancellation is unfortunate, be are relieved and happy to hear it is not due to his own open battle with cancer. andrew remains in remission.

Dear Friends and Fans

I regret to announce that I will not be able to finish out the remaining shows of the Fun. tour due to a family emergency. I want to assuage any concerns that this cancellation is a result of my own personal health, as it is not. I cannot convey how disappointing this is for me and the band, but it is important for me to be at home at this time. I thank you for your support and understanding.

Fiona Apple Cancels South American Tour for her Dog’s Illness

ablueskyblog:

I think a lot of people must have read by now the hand-written letter Fionna Apple wrote for her fans to announce that she is not coming to South America due to a severe illness of her dog Janet. She wrote: “Janet has been the most consistent relationship of my adult life, and that is just a fact. […] She’s my best friend and my mother and my daughter, my benefactor, and she’s the one who taught me what love is.

As an Argentinian fan of hers who was looking forward to see her live on December 1st, I support her decision and I think that everyone should respect her choice, which may differs from what you would do, because only she knows how important this is for her. For this reason she also added that she “will not be the woman who puts her career ahead of love and friendship. I am the woman who stays home and bakes Tilapia for my dearest, oldest friend. And helps her be comfortable, and comforted, and safe, and important.“ I’d rather wait a little longer to go to a concert of her that she can enjoy too, rather than see her weak and not in the mood of singing and feelings her music.

The Blue Sky + Hard Rock team wishes the best for Janet and Fiona. I guess I will just wait a few months anxiously to hear news of her announcing a new South American tour.

Billy Joe’s On-Stage Meltdown Leads to Cancellations

Green Day was forced to cancel a few remaining promotional tour dates after frontman Billy Joe Armstrong had a bit of a tantrum on stage at iHeartRadio Fest in Las Vegas this past Friday.

Apparently the outburst (seen Below) was a result of a sign telling the band that they had “one minute” remaining, to which Armstrong replied:

“You’re kidding me. I’m not fucking Justin Bieber, you motherfuckers. Let me show you what one minute fucking means.”Billy Joe Armstrong, Green Day

The singer reportedly will enter rehabilitation treatment (though it has not been specified beyond “substance abuse”), forcing the cancellation of their September shows, which include 4 California appearances.

As of right now, it looks like Armstrong + Green Day will resume their scheduled dates in October, playing the Voodoo Music Festival in Louisiana

This is the second stint from the singer that postponed appearances, as earlier this month Armstrong was hospitalized for “severe dehydration” and thus forcing the band to postpone a concert in Italy.

The band has made the following statement about the iHeartRadio event:

LAS VEGAS, NV - SEPTEMBER 21: (L-R) Drummer T...

“We regretfully must postpone some of our upcoming promotional appearances. . . We would like everyone to know that our set was not cut short by Clear Channel and to apologize to those we offended at the iHeartRadio Festival in Las Vegas.”

We wish Billy Joe the best of luck and a speedy recovery to return to his adoring fans in stadiums worldwide.
