RVIVR is giving musc lovers the answer to our female-fronted-punk-band dreams. The outfit from Olympia WA recently announced the release of the follow up to their 2010 self-titled debut album.

The new record doesn’t have a name yet but there is this great/amusing/fun video for the track “Spider Song” which is said to appear on the sophomore effort.

Give it a listen + let us know what you think!

Postal Service Reunite for 10 Year Anniversary Tour

Musical group "The Postal Service"Dates are still in the works for the tour which will reunite Death Cab for Cutie frontman Ben Gibbard with Jimmy Tamborello (DNTEL). Together the two create music as the Postal Service– their first and only full length record being the 2003 release “Give Up.” Multiple sources have confirmed that the band will also perform at this year’s Coachella Valley Music Festival.

Gibbard seems to be standing strong behind previous statements that this does not mean new music or a second album, but one can always hope. Either way, I know many people like myself will be glad just to catch these two together again live.
